First week of the camp meeting

There are no words that can begin to describe the spirit and the happenings of such a memorable,unforgettable gathering of a wonderful camp meeting. The 2006 camp meeting was held at our Bapsfontein camp ground for the first time since the beginning of the Gospel work in South Africa.This reminded us of the words of brother John as he was quoted in the bible " after this I beheld lo, a great multitude that no man could number of all nations and kindred's and people and tongues stood before the throne and before the lamb clothed with white robes and with psalms in their hands". Though our meeting cannot reach the joy of that great day but it is justified to say this camp meeting gave us a glimpse of that day.

It all begun with a wonderful and fruitful workers meetings which was held for two days prior to the commencement of the camp meeting. The right term to describe this camp meeting is that it was not only a historic camp meeting because it was held at the camp ground for the first time but that also it was the year for our church and all saints in country and
 the work to be freed from bondage that was the theme of the two fruitful
 workers meetings.

This is a great pleasure to outline that we were blessed to have Brother Sam Ajayi with us again, whom the spirit of the lord used in a mighty way to explain those fundamental truths of God's word in defining clearly what is the simple pure Gospel of our Saviour Jesus Christ and man's traditions which don't form part of what the Gospel is or what it stands for.

Issues that were not clear and taught incorrectly in our churches which prompted confusion to many in the past were explained clearly by the spirit of God and everyone was left satisfied knowing exactly what the word of God demands. This caused the camp meeting to commence on a very high note with all spirits highly expecting great things from God, therefore history was made in a spiritual Land Mark for the work in South Africa.

Special delegates who graced the occasion were not only Brother Sam but also Rev Timothy Kaebula overseer from Zambia, Board members from Zimbabwe  such as Rev Gumbo, Rev Moyo and others who  accompanied them.we also had ministers from mozambique and overseer Motshidisi from Botswana and the Board members who were with him and lastly Sister Mary who came all the way from Namibia and all the saints in South Africa who came in numbers to attend the camp meeting not forgetting the brethren from Venda who came in two buses this year and packed the tent,Glory be to God.

The spirit of God was felt on the first of the camp meeting in the first service, with young people rendering their wonderful items, and the beautiful solo which was given that morning " When you left your room this morning did you think to pray " then Rev Sam Ajayi gave us a spirit filled sermon about the beautiful Gates, talked about the lame man who sat at the gate of the temple begging when Peter and John came he was expecting money from them but Peter said to him look at us, silver and gold have I not but such as I have give thee:In the name of Jesus Christ

of Nazareth rise up and walk and he took him by his hand and lifted him up and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength and he leaping stood and walked and into the temple.

Now we were told that we have to come to the beautiful gate that is Jesus here at the camp meeting, what ever our problems are, or we are kane spritual in need of revival in our hearts we have to come to the Beautiful Gate where all problems and troubles vanish. This service left every heart in tears and a great spirit of revival poured down on us in humble tent as people prayed we were all blessed.
Oh! what a blessed way to start the camp meeting as as the Lord started with his usual work, saving the souls from that opening service of camp meeting.

We had a powerful youth service that afternoon were Brother Mpila gave a very inspirational sermon about the importance of God's word, that the youth of the Gospel are guided and focused on the word of God. They live according to the word of God, they study the bible and pray always, that is the source of their success in that anything they touch prospers. an example of Joseph was given, He was a young man who loved the word of God and lived by it and the Lord poured many blessings on Him. " Thy word is lamp into my feet and a light unto my path " He emphasized on the fact that such youth who are deeply concentrated in the word of God are not in need of ministers to hold them by the hand at school, work where parents, brethren are not around in this corrupted and sinful world .They still have the victory over sin and go on living godly and holy lives in this corrupted sinful world and among ungodly people because they posses the word of God in their hearts

In conclusion of the matter " Blessed is the man that walked not in the counsel of the ungodly nor seated in the seat of the scornful nor stand in the way of sinners but his delight is in the law of the Lord and in the law if the Lord doth He meditate day and Night ".
